Printer: Xerox Workcentre 5755

Error: remote directory lock fail

Details: When scanning a document the following error message appears on screen: "remote directory lock fail"

Solution



  1. Check the directory where the documents are scanning to
  2. Look for folders or files that end in a .LCK file extension
  3. Delete those .LCK files
  4. Give EVERYONE and DOMAIN USERS permissions to the folder that documents are scanned to
  5. Send a test scan, it should now be successful
